The European Championships Venue for 2022
Proudly returning for our tenth anniversary of hosting events with a new home, The European Championships 2022 will be held at the centrally located, 2,100 square meter Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham. With its 10,000 seat capacity, this place has showcased some of the biggest names in entertainment, delivering a world famous atmosphere for all who attend.

The European Championships Exhibitor Area
Situated inside the main entrance, the exhibitor area at this year’s competition will see 100% of all footfall in spectators and athletes across all three days of competition on 19-21 August.

As well as watching the spectacle that is almost 500 athletes across 9 categories over the weekend, attendees at this year’s event are presented with extensive shopping opportunities with a wide range of vendors supplying clothing, accessories, training aids, and more.
▶ TEC22 clothing in association with FiiT
Official event clothing for both athletes and spectators will be located in the Exhibitor Area. This year we are proudly working in association with FiiT (Females in it Together) where all clothing proceeds go towards providing a health and wellness programme for those at risk of, or undergoing treatment for, chronic disease and long term health conditions. Important Location Information
The Motorpoint Arena is situated in the heart of Nottingham’s famous and historic Lace Market area, a stone’s throw from the bars, restaurants, cultural attractions, and shopping that makes this place so popular. There’s plenty of accommodation to suit every taste, from budget to boutique – it’s perfect for those making the trip out to our event!

▶ Arriving by car
At Nottingham’s city centre, the Motorpoint Arena is less than 30 minutes from the A52 making it easily accessible by car. Tourist signs are visible on all major routes into the city to guide you to the venue. The postcode for your sat nav is NG1 1LA and there are numerous car parks nearby.
▶ Arriving via public transport
BY TRAM: The nearest tram stop to the Arena is the Lace Market stop on Fletcher Gate, just a 5 minute walk from the venue. Visit the NET Tram Website for more information.
BY BUS: Long-distance and local bus services operate into Nottingham’s Victoria bus station, which is a ten minute walk from the Arena. Several Nottingham City Transport (NCT) bus services stop right outside the venue and Trent Barton has several bus services that run past it.
BY TRAIN: Nottingham train station is a 10 minute walk from the Arena, or a very short taxi ride. East Midlands Railway operate regular trains to and from Nottingham, visit the East Midlands Railway website for timetable and fare information.
▶ Arrival into East Midlands Airport
The airport is around 35 minutes’ drive from the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham. The Skylink bus service operates from East Midlands Airport direct to Nottingham up to every 20 minutes, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Find out more about the Skylink bus service.
